Senior Full Stack Engineer

Project overview

We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join one of Capitolis’ core product teams as part of our New York expansion. This is a senior, high-impact individual contributor role with strong ownership over both frontend and backend development, working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership.

The engineer will take an active role in building and scaling mission-critical Capital Markets platforms, contributing to architectural decisions, driving best engineering practices, and delivering high-quality, user-focused solutions. This role requires someone who is comfortable operating autonomously, influencing technical direction, and collaborating across distributed teams in New York and Tel Aviv.

You will be involved throughout the full development lifecycle — from design and architecture to implementation and production — with a strong emphasis on modern frontend development (React), system design, and collaboration within a complex, data-intensive environment.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience with a modern front-end framework, primarily React
• Strong experience with state management solutions such as React Context API, Redux, or MobX
• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience building complex, responsive, and accessible user interfaces
• Familiarity with modern front-end tooling and build pipelines (e.g., Webpack, Babel, NPM, Yarn)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical background
• Advanced level of English (C1 or higher)
• Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and responsibility
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively within a team

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL, Apollo Client, or similar libraries
• Familiarity with front-end styling frameworks such as Material UI, Bootstrap, or Styled Components
• Exposure to full-stack environments and collaboration with backend services

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in a team developing sophisticated financial market products
• Design and implement front-end solutions in line with agreed architecture, standards, and product requirements
• Collaborate closely with the Team Lead, Product Managers, and other engineers to deliver roadmap features
• Create high-quality, responsive, and accessible UI applications
• Contribute to architectural and technological decisions across the product
• Work effectively with distributed R&D and support teams
• Ensure best practices in web standards, browser compatibility, and performance
• Share knowledge and promote healthy engineering processes within the team
• Drive tasks forward independently while maintaining strong team alignment
