Senior PHP Developer

We are looking for a skilled Senior PHP Developer to join the RoutePerfect team — a platform for personalized travel planning with a solid user base and active development roadmap. You’ll work on improving backend architecture, scaling the system, and integrating with third-party APIs to enhance the travel planning experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of PHP development experience (PHP 8.x)
- Strong grasp of OOP, SOLID principles, and clean architecture
- Proficient in SQL and MySQL performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD, and environment management
- Proven experience with third-party API integrations
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate proactively
- English – Upper-Intermediate+
Nice to have
- Background in travel/booking or consumer-facing platforms
- Understanding of SEO for backend (e.g. server-side rendering, page speed)
- Knowledge of caching, queues, cron jobs
- Familiarity with frontend collaboration practices
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services of RoutePerfect platform
- Optimize database queries and ensure scalability
- Integrate and maintain external APIs (travel, payments, etc.)
- Collaborate with frontend developers and designers for seamless experience
- Take ownership of technical tasks and contribute to roadmap execution
