Strong Middle DevOps Engineer

Barak Capital is expanding its technical team in Amsterdam and looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our high-performance trading environment.
We design and operate proprietary, latency-sensitive trading systems across global markets. Our infrastructure is fully on-prem, serving hundreds of financial instruments across major exchanges in Europe, APAC, and the Americas.

Requirements
- 4+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE roles
- Strong scripting skills (Bash required; Python nice to have)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools
- Proficiency with Docker & Kubernetes
- Experience with IaC and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm)
- Solid understanding of networking, Linux systems, and distributed environments
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams
- English: Advanced (C1+) – our team is fully international
Nice to have
- Experience in financial institutions or mission-critical environments
- Knowledge of ISO27001, SOC standards
- Experience with monitoring/logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Background with on-prem infrastructure or bare-metal servers
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines; drive automation and modern delivery practices
- Work with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in an on-premise environment
- Maintain, secure, and optimize production environments supporting real-time trading systems
- Collaborate closely with development, IT, and global DevOps teams (Amsterdam & Tel Aviv)
- Implement infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, and configuration management tools
- Contribute to building scalable, reliable, highly available systems in a mission-critical domain
